I’ve always been a fan of pre-loved clothing (that’s where this whole ‘blog’ of mine started). I’m drawn to how every piece has lived a life before living in my closet, how being fashion-forward doesn’t have to be expensive, how buying second-hand has a positive impact on the environment,…the list goes on.
I teamed up with Value Village to celebrate Earth Month, specifically with their Rethink Reuse Campaign—which is all about recognizing the impact of clothing on the environment and how easy it is to help make a positive impact through REUSE.
Did you know that North Americans send 10.5 million tons of clothing to landfills every year? 95% of those items can be reused or recycled. That’s an insane number! We can all do our part by thrift shopping or donating at our local Value Village store.
But you don’t need to tell me twice…I’m at VV every other week. This entire outfit is thrifted from Value Village (head-to-toe), and I’m a little obsessed. I get this adrenaline rush when I scout out amazing pieces, like this DENIM DRESS! and platforms sandals! I also paired this necklace and neck scarf together…pretty sure they were made for each other.
So if you want to do your little part for the environment and look cute while doing so, #RethinkReuse. xo
