1 Dress: Day & Night

Having those versatile pieces in our closet can make styling outfits quick and painless. However, those versatile pieces are usually grouped in the basic pile (e.g. a white tee or little black dress).

Having flexible pieces that have more life and appeal is a total MUST–like this ultra cool Motel Ice Cream Dress for instance.

This killer number is neutral in colour, has an easygoing neckline, and is covered in sequins for amazing texture and charm. I’ve styled the dress in two ways: a mellow everyday look and dazzling nighttime get-up.

(also, I have hair all of the sudden! Lush Hair Extensions, for those of  you who are wondering)

For this look, I paired the dress with a super casual plaid blouse and oversized bulky cardigan. It’s an awesome layering tool as it adds the perfect amount of ‘pizazz’ without being overly flashy, especially in a relaxed look like this.

I scrunched up a small section in the middle of the dress and tied an elastic band around it on the inside. It makes it look like a totally different dress, which is actually really cute to style for night as well.

When going out, I tend to keep things on the simple side (my version of simple). This dress will definitely do most of the talking, but I’m helping it out by pairing it with a metal embellished belt, edgy leather vest, statement heels, and silver accessories.
