We visited Vegas! It was my first time going–my grade 2 visit doesn’t count–and I had high expectations that I reckoned would be met with mere ease. I’ve had people tell me stories about Vegas for years; they tell me about their crazy and haphazard moments, mostly involving unlimited food, booze, and gambling. And although I took part in all those affairs, there’s so much more to Vegas than I originally anticipated.
We went down for the Life is Beautiful Festival that took place in Downtown Las Vegas. It’s a new 2-day festival–showcasing music, food, and art–with the purpose of celebrating life through artistic passion. With musical headliners, such as Beck, The Killers, Kings of Leon, and Imagine Dragons, and artistic genius (epitomized through street art, acclaimed chefs, and theatrics), life couldn’t have been any more beautiful.
After two days of awesome music, ridiculously delicious food, ah-mazing artwork, and meeting the coolest-of-cool people, we’ve come to the conclusion that the Life is Beautiful Festival is another event we’ll be attending annually– but next time we’ll lose less money on those darn slots!
